Advantages of Wine

There have been studies that wine can be good for your health. Although to much alcohol can be bad for your body, alcohol helps blood flow more easily around the body, and a regular intake of wine can reduce the level of harmful cholesterol. The phenolics in wine is what makes it so beneficial which contain many antioxidents. Red wine consumption has been clearly linked to reduced occurance of atherosclorosis and heart disease due to the phenolics compounds. These compounds have a protective effort in the capillaries andand collagen in the walls of the blood vessels. They can prevent the accumulation of clots. There is a thought that wine may be beneficial in the treatment of cancer and alzheimers disease. Most of the phenolics in the grape are found in the skin and seed. The fred Hucthinson Cancer Centre found that "men who consumed 4 or more glasses of red wine per week reduced thier risk of prostate cancer by 50 percent". So i would say drinking a little red wine every week will go a long way in staying healthy.

It goes back to the magic work moderation. As long as you keep on drinking wine in moderation, 1 to 2 glasses a day it does show signs of benefits in health.

It is crazy how the human bosy works..too little is bad too much is bad, is it true: EVERYTHING in moderation. This is an informative blog and I think the thing that most people don't realize is that it is red wine that has these chemicals..too bad it is not all wine! great job.

I have heard this too. But I have also heard that you can get the same health advantages as red wine by drinking grape juice since they are both made from grapes. Also grape juice is non alcoholic so more people can drink it. I also think grape juice tastes better. I am not a huge fan of red wine, but this is a good excuse to drink.

I find it so interesting how alcohol which we are told is bad for you is now being told is good for you. I agree with the moderation because as long as you drink it sparingly it does produce benefits for the body. Good Job
